A city with some serious eats

We have many new community friends here — if you're new, welcome! I’m so excited you’ve joined Unpacked.

Every month, I share about a half-dozen posts, ranging from travel-related topics to fashion finds and everyday life (and now home design after a unanimous vote). For paid subscribers, I have monthly perks, one of which includes access to my private maps. These private maps provide access to all of my saves and places shared, in a single Google Map convenient for you to use while planning and traveling.

So this is one of those — and this time it’s London. (Peek our Puglia, Barcelona, and Kyoto Maps).

London is one of those cities that took me a second try to love. My first attempt at visiting the city was in 2014 during a cold December month, and had a stark British pound conversion rate at the time, which meant we ate mostly McDonald’s that trip.

But my most recent trip last year repositioned the city entirely. I spent a cheeky 48 hours on the ground (yes, I flew to London from SF for 2 nights) and did some serious exploring. I left no stone unturned and did a deep dive in the city from 7 am to 10 pm for both days, solo. It also meant I did intensive research because time was of the essence, and I wanted to make sure every spot I was headed to was worth it.

The short? I should have revisited a long time ago. I loved London. This Saved Map has over 120 pins — trust me, I need to return because there is just so much to love.

So that’s what this is—access to a saved Google Map for London, specifically with all of my pins across the city, including locations featured on the blog and those I have not shared.

If you’ve purchased my Northern California map, you'll know what these look like. They’re all the pins categorized by food, accommodation, cafe, sight, etc. Because it is in Google Maps, you can open the saved map either on Desktop or Mobile, easily done by the link shared in this post.

What’s Included

  • Access to the map and 120+ pins

  • There are dozens of places that I've never covered on the blog. I've included lots of places that are on the blog as well for convenience. Having it all in one centralized place is helpful for trip planning and last-minute decisions while there.

What’s Not Included

  • The pins do not have personal descriptions. I’ve found it redundant as the pins are categorized accordingly, and all of the info you need is linked in there.

  • Note: sometimes the Google Saved Map may need a minute or two to load, it’s frequently touchy.
